Mann Island Finance office fit out in Liverpool
Denton Associates are a leader in the interior design and office fit out market. When they were awarded the contract to fit out the new offices for Mann Island Finance, part of the Investec financial services group, they turned to Technical Display Systems to provide the Audio Visual and videoconferencing element of the project.
The new offices consisted of a large open plan area along with a boardroom and an employee ‘Pause’ area as well as a collaboration space.
Technical Display were asked to design and Install equipment in to these areas that will provide MIF with easy to use AV equipment, and a flexible presentation and meeting room space for staff and customers.
Our Approach
In the main open plan office space the client wanted to provide constantly updated information to employees. This was achieved by using a series of 49” ceiling mounted Full HD displays fed from the clients IT system.
In the collaboration area a custom built desk with an integrated 49” full HD monitor fed from Kramer built-in desktop input modules allows the client to present from laptops and hold impromptu meetings to resolve live events both quickly and effectively.
The Pause area is where employees quite literally ‘pause’ their working day and take refreshment whilst being able to catch-up with what is happening in the world via a 70” full HD display which can present news/current affairs TV as required.
The main boardroom is used for formal presentations and also has video conferencing facilities to allow meetings to take place between group offices and clients. The Cisco system is controlled from a Touch 10 touchscreen which sits on the client network to simplify use of the system.
The audio is handled via a Converge Pro 880 DSP and Converge Pro ceiling microphones provide voice content for the video conferencing.
The images in this area are presented on a 75” full HD screen and audio is provided via ceiling mounted speakers that are hidden in the ceiling void to provide a cleaner ceiling line finish.
Inputs of images from the presenter are again via Kramer built in desktop modules.
The boardroom can also be divided in to two meeting spaces and to facilitate presentations in both areas a second screen (55” full HD) is wall mounted at the opposite wall to the 75” main display.
The Result
The work was completed on schedule and has provided MIF with modern, flexible meeting and presentation facilities.
